1. Introduction

Team Scout, LLC ("Team Scout," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website (teamscout.co), mobile applications, and related services.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account creation: Name, email, phone number, organization/team name
• Team profiles: Team name, sport, location, season info, coach names
• Roster information: Player names, jersey numbers, parent/guardian contacts
• Purchases: Billing address, payment info (via Stripe), shipping address

2.2 Automatic Collection

• Device type, operating system, browser type
• Pages viewed, features used, time on pages
• General location based on IP address

3. How We Use Information

• Provide and improve our Services
• Process transactions and send receipts
• Send updates, alerts, and support messages
• Respond to your requests
• Detect and prevent fraud

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe: Payment processing
• Twilio: SMS notifications and verification
• AWS/Supabase: Hosting and storage
• Resend: Email delivery

5. Data Security

• 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption in transit
• AES-256 encryption at rest for stored data
• SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure (Supabase/AWS)
• Row Level Security on all database tables
• No passwords stored — one-time verification codes only
• PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processing (Stripe)

6. SMS & Messaging

Team Scout sends texts for these purposes only: one-time sign-in codes; a receipt when you type your mobile number at a program's ticket or donation reader and ask for one; an invitation when a program adds you as an admin by your mobile number; replies on our support line; and silent auction alerts for bidders who tick the text alert box when they register to bid. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of signing up, buying, registering or bidding. When a bidder agrees, we keep a record of who agreed, when, the mobile number and the exact words they agreed to. The programs are described in section 6 of our Terms of Service.

Our support line, (913) 794-3712, answers texts you send it. We reply only to people who text us first, and only about the question asked.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Google Calendar

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, Team Scout adds one calendar of its own to your Google account and creates, updates and removes the schedule events you asked us to sync on that calendar, and nothing else. A connection made from October 13, 2026 cannot see your other calendars or events; a connection made earlier works in your main calendar until you reconnect it, which moves it to its own calendar. We also read your Google account email address so we can show which account is connected.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, we never sell it, and we do not share it except as needed to run the sync. Google account tokens are stored encrypted and are deleted when you disconnect, which you can do at any time in Team Scout or in your Google Account's third-party access settings.

Team Scout's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our Services are for team administrators, coaches, and parents — not directly for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Player roster info is provided by authorized adults.

9. Your Rights

• Access and update your information — sign in and edit your profile from inside the app at any time.
• Request a copy of your data — use the in-app export tool (Profile → Settings → Download My Data) or email support@teamscout.co and we will provide a JSON copy of your data within 30 days.
• Delete your account — use the in-app deletion tool (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) for an immediate self-service deletion, or email support@teamscout.co and we will process your request within 30 days.
• Opt out of marketing emails — every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link in the footer.
• Opt out of SMS messages — reply STOP to any Team Scout SMS to opt out immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notification.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
