Built by families

Not designed in a
conference room.

Team Scout was built by real families fighting the real battle against other platforms — the families and coaches behind the teams, not consultants behind a one-way glass. Christ Prep Academy was the first program to see what we built.

Case study

Christ Prep Academy Football

Homeschool football program in the Kansas City metro — roughly 80 active families across varsity and JV, an NHFA-aligned tournament participant.

The story behind the numbers

Strong community.
Weaker connection points.

Strong community. Weak connection points.

Christ Prep is a tight community — prep rallies, families that travel to games together, coaches who know every athlete. But the platform underneath didn't match. SportsEngine registrations were rough but workable. The team communications were the problem. For a program built around belonging, the connection points were the weakest part of the operation.

What the books couldn't see.

Behind every well-run program is someone reconciling the books. At Christ Prep, that meant hours every month tracing where money came in from — a ticket to the football movie premiere, a player registration, an ad sponsorship, a camp deposit. The platform didn't make the source of any dollar obvious. The financial side of the program took two or three people, significant time, by hand. That wasn't a tooling problem they could solve. It was a tooling problem they had to live with.

Start fresh. Single source of truth.

Pulling five years of history out of SportsEngine is hard — some reports are real-time, some get emailed on a delay, all of it needs deduping. The team made the call: the old data wasn't what mattered. What mattered was a clean slate on a platform where every dollar, every roster, every group lives in one place. So Christ Prep closed out the open billing on the old system and began on Team Scout — with the financial reporting, accuracy, and visibility the program needed.

What parents notice right away

The first weeks on Team Scout.

Christ Prep is just beginning its first season on the new platform. These are the differences families and coaches are already seeing.

Dramatically better website

Brand-true, mobile-first, fast — replacing a generic SportsEngine portal.

Team merch store

Players and families ordering directly. No third-party storefront, no markup.

Movie premiere ticketing

The season-recap film screening — sold through Team Scout, not a separate platform.

Registrations starting

Cleaner forms, no surprise fees at checkout, one source of truth for who's paid.

The bigger point

A platform that pays
for itself.

Christ Prep is on the Premium plan. Between program ads, player fundraising, lower processing fees, and one subscription that bundles every revenue tool — the math works in the program's favor before the season starts.

Program ad sales

A team of 25 selling one $200 ad per player nets ~$4,000 after print costs — more than the year's subscription. Even a 15-roster volleyball program clears around $2,000 the same way. Bigger rosters compound the math.

Player fundraising

Each athlete can raise their dues through built-in fundraising — money toward the program instead of a separate platform's cut.

Lower credit card fees

Stripe pass-through pricing with an option to pass card fees to the payer at checkout. ~85–90% of families opt in. The program keeps more of every transaction.

Premium subscription, not à la carte

Registrations, ticketing, store, fundraising, sponsorships — one Premium plan. No surprise upcharges per module.
