We could see the tool behind the website or registration for 51 programs, and 3 different sports platforms turned up among them. The most common, TeamUnify, runs 28, all of them swimming programs.

21 programs run their website on a custom-built site, WordPress, Wix, Finalsite or Squarespace.

A swim meet, a football Friday and a private school's three sports seasons all need the same things: a roster, a calendar, volunteers and a way to collect. Team Scout does all four from one account.

Houston here means Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria, Galveston and the surrounding counties. Counts from the Team Scout market database, built from public websites, as of September 28, 2026.

Questions Houston programs ask

Team Scout is based in Kansas City. Does that matter for a Houston program?

No. Setup happens in the app and on a call, and families join from a link. Peter, the founder, walks new programs through setup live. Use the contact page and say where you are.

What is free?

Groups and messaging, the calendar, rosters, volunteer sign-ups and a public website, up to 50 groups and 2,500 people per organization. Gate tickets are on the free plan at $1 a ticket up to $10, and fundraising has no platform fee.

We already use another tool. Do we have to switch everything at once?

No. Start free, run groups and the calendar alongside what you have, and move registration when your next season opens.

Is our program listed in the Team Scout directory?

The directory lists clubs, leagues, homeschool programs, booster clubs and private school athletic departments from public information. If yours is there, claim the page to run it, or remove it with the link on the page.
